For those of us interested in professional development in the realm of teaching and learning, it's often worthwhile to look outside libraryland for opportunities.

Many (though admittedly not all) of our member institutions belong to NISOD (National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development), an organization devoted to the professional development of faculty, staff, and administrators at community, technical, and two-year colleges. Check here to see whether your college belongs; if it does, check NISOD's Webinar Series page for upcoming events and for links to archived sessions.
